Cape Harbour to host 9th Annual New Year’s Party
Cape Harbour will host its 9th Annual New Year’s Party Wednesday, Dec. 31, featuring a magical midnight fireworks display and ball drop from high above the promenade overlooking the marina.
The 170-foot ball drop from atop the Marina South condominium complex has become a popular tradition here and is one of the most anticipated celebrations in the city. Each year the ball is enhanced with new technology and more brilliance so this is the place to be to experience this spectacular display, officials said.
Revelers may want to come early to relax and enjoy Cape Harbour’s restaurants. Enjoy waterfront dining at the award-winning Rumrunners with open dinner seating from 5-10 p.m. Reservations are recommended 239-542-0200.
Pignoli on the Harbour, located on the marina, will feature a New Year’s Eve Party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with live music. Reservations are required 239-541-0800.
Food, drinks and party favors will also be the fare at Fathoms Restaurant & Bar; with live music by “Soapy Tuna” starting at 8 p.m. Reservations are not required.
The merchants at Cape Harbour invite the public to visit their unique shops, boutiques and expanded art gallery. Banana Bay Tour Company will make its end-of-year sunset cruise, a two-hour excursion beginning one hour before sunset, dockside at Rumrunners. Call 239-728-8687.
