Clacher sales manager at American Brokers

Realty Group; three others join company

American Brokers Realty Group has announced that one of its top-producing agents, Lilo Clacher, has been promoted to sales manager. Clacher has been a full-time real estate agent in Cape Coral for the last 18 years.

American Brokers would also like to welcome the addition of three more agents to their team:

– Bania Ancheta, who hails from Chicago and is licensed in both Florida and Illinois and has been selling real estate as a top producer for the last 10 years.

– Balduvina Armas, a Miami native who has been sales manager for various area builders

The Smart Companies based in Fort Myers is a finalist in the 2014 Manufacturer of the Year competition, announced Nancy D. Stephens, CAE, executive director of the Manufacturers Association of Florida in Tallahassee.

Nominated companies are judged by a prescribed set of criteria based on company size, systems and practices, as well as a series of telephone and on-site interviews with company management teams and employees. Winners will be announced during the MAF Annual Summit and Marketplace at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Destin, Fla., Dec. 4.

The Smart Companies was also the only Lee County company to be selected this year as a “Top 50 Florida Companies to Watch,” a recognition by GrowFL, the Economic Gardening Institute. GrowFL received more than 500 nominations in this awards program that celebrates privately-held, second-stage companies headquartered in Florida.

The Smart Companies ranked the 30th fastest-growing company on Florida’s Gulf Coast in Business Observer’s most recent “Gulf Coast Top 500 Companies.” The ranking is based on the company’s 66 percent spike in gross revenue in 2013 compared to 2012. national Remodelers Advantage ‘community meeting’

Progressive Builders’ founder, state-licensed building contractor Michael R. Spreckelmeier, and Dave Wherry, production manager, recently completed a three-day Remodelers Advantage community meeting, this time in Charleston, S.C. This is the eighth community meeting in four consecutive years that Spreckelmeier has attended the biannual event.

About 60 remodeling company owners from across the nation are divided into groups of approximately 10 like-minded companies that share similarities in annual revenue, product services and goals. Participants discuss what works best for them, what doesn’t, best practices, better planning, time management and other topics to learn from each other how to improve processes. Attendees must also make business commitments to implement, and then report on the progress of those goals at the next Remodelers Advantage meeting.

Progressive Builders now in its 25th year in business is part of the Orion group of 10 companies that have been together at these meetings for the past four years. The group meets again in Cape Cod, Mass., in May 2015.

Stevens Construction breaks ground on

Memory Care Residences at Cypress Cove

Stevens Construction has broken ground on the Memory Care Residences at Cypress Cove at HealthPark Florida, announced Mark Stevens, company president.

Stevens Construction is providing pre-construction and construction management services for Cypress Cove’s 37,940-square-foot, two-story residence with 44 private rooms. Located at 10200 Cypress Cove Drive within the HealthPark campus, the 550-residency retirement community will remain operational during the project.
