Belk Department Store to hold fund-raiser for Officer Wagoner
Belk Department Store, located at 2342 Surfside Blvd., in the Sandoval Shops, will host a fund-raiser for Cape Coral Police Officer David Wagoner.
Wagoner was shot in the abdomen during a traffic stop early Saturday morning on Santa Barbara Boulevard. He is recovering from his injuries.
Belk is having a Ladies’ Day Out sale Tuesday, April 26, and Thursday, April 28, whereby it offers a discount to loyal customers. On both days at the Cape Coral location, the store will be grilling hot dogs, selling raffle tickets for prizes and collecting donations. All proceeds will go to Wagoner.
Belk asks everyone to stop by and support a great cause.
“We are grateful for Belk’s generosity. It is overwhelming to have such an outpouring of support for one of our own,” said Lt. Tony Sizemore, spokesperson for the CCCPD.
