Recreation vehicle show next weekend

2 min read

Region one of the Florida RV Trade Association will hold its 16th annual recreation vehicle show at the Lee County Sports Complex/Hammond Stadium in south Fort Myers April 1, 2 and 3.

The three-day event will feature 10 dealers from throughout Florida’s Gulf Coast displaying a wide selection of new, used and leftover recreation vehicles of all styles, brands and price ranges.

RVs on display will include gas and diesel motor-homes, travel trailers, toy haulers, fifth wheels, park models and van and folding campers.

RV suppliers and concessions will also be available throughout the show.

The dealers expected to be on hand include North Trail RV Center, Skip Eppers RVs, Camp-ing World, M&M RV Sales, RV Kountry, Holiday Trailer, Dream RV Center, American Van & Camper, Park Model City and Camper Depot.

With a recovering economy, the RV industry has traveled along as well, according to industry officials. Financing for both dealer inventory and qualified buyers has improved, resulting in a market that has seen RV sales markedly recover for both new and used merchandise.

In fact, the national Recreation Vehicle Industry Association reports that January 2011 wholesale RV shipments tallied 17,800, up a healthy 12.7 percent from the January 2010 total of 15,800.

The admission-free recreation vehicle show is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days. On-site financing will be available to qualified buyers.

To reach the Sports Complex from I-75, take exit 131 (Daniels Parkway) and go west for 5 miles to Ben Pratt-Six Mile Cypress Parkway and turn left. The Sports Complex is on the right on Ben Pratt-Six Mile Cypress Parkway.
