Gora/McGahey Architect’s Buschle receives USGBC Chapter Member of the Year Award
Ken Buschle, head of quality control and specifications for Gora/McGahey Architects since 1988, received the chapter member of the year award from the U.S. Green Building Council, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter at the fifth annual Smart Sustainable Conference in St. Petersburg. This was the first “LEEDership Award” program sponsored by the chapter.
The award recognizes an individual who demonstrates dedication to chapter growth and betterment, commitment to educating the members on progressive initiatives and produces enthusiasm about sustainable practices in others.
Buschle serves as secretary on the executive board of the USGBC, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, which serves a 13-county area on the west coast of Florida extending from Citrus County to Collier County. There are three branches within the chapter, located in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Sarasota and Fort Myers.
