Destiny Diaper Bank and Wayne Walker will be holding a dinner show fund-raising event for “Rachel’s Flight” on Sunday, May 9, Mother’s Day at Anthony’s on the Boulevard, on Del Prado Boulevard in Cape Coral, from 6-8 p.m.

“We are making a Cape Coral mother’s wish come true by funding her daughters trip to see specialists in Pennsylvania on May 13,” said Rebecca Hines, founder of Destiny Diaper Bank. “Rachel’s dad called me last month and said he finally got an appointment for Rachel with the specialists that could help her, but they didn’t have the money to travel, so I told him to make the appointment and we would raise the money.”

So far $500 has been raised for “Rachel’s Flight.”

Admission is only $7 for mothers, kids 11-17 years old are only $3, kids 10 and under are free. Regular admission is $10. Anthony’s will have dinner and drink specials for everyone. Reservations are suggested 239-772-5900.

Rachel is a 5-year-old Cape Coral girl with poly-articular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis over active immune system ulcerative colitis proctitis and uveitis.

Donations are also being accepted at all 5/3rd Bank locations for “Rachel’s Flight.”
