Crowne Plaza Hotel named Tourism Business of the Year

The Crowne Plaza Hotel at Bell Tower is pleased to announce they have been named the Tourism Business of the Year as part of the Horizon Council of Lee County Awards.
Citing the substantial investment made in renovations in 2007 and the hotel being the first Fort Myers hotel to earn the Green Lodging designation from the Florida Department of Environment Protection, the hotel received the award at the annual ceremony last Friday.
The Lee County Horizon Council Awards honor outstanding local businesses exemplifying leadership, innovation, and community involvement. After a rigorous selection process a total of four local businesses were chosen including other 2009 honorees: Home-Tech, Interop Technologies, and Ecological Laboratories, Inc.
“We are so humbled and thankful to have received this award,”commented Jim Larkin, General Manager. “Our team has and continues to work hard and together they have earned this incredible honor. We are happy to serve Southwest Florida and look forward to continued growth.”
