Dill now certified professional in human resources
Wendy Dill, the executive assistant to Jill Turner, CEO, at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida, is now a certified professional in human resources.
Offered by the Society of Human Resource Management, certified PHRs must complete coursework including strategic management, workforce planning and development, labor relations, risk management, total rewards and human resource development.
Children’s Advocacy Center, a United Way partner agency, is a crisis center that works with sexually and physically abused children and is designed to be a safe and friendly place for them to come and be heard and help them get on the road to recovery. Next session of Entrepreneur School scheduled
The city of Fort Myers Southwest Florida Enterprise Center will begin the next session of its “Entrepreneur School” Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 5-7 p.m., at the Southwest Florida Enterprise Center, located at 3903 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Suite 5, in Fort Myers. Classes will be held for six consecutive Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m.

Clinge named resident director at Merrill Lynch
David D. Donaldson, director of the Naples Complex of Merrill Lynch, has announced the promotion of John D. Clinge to resident director of the Fort Myers office of Merrill Lynch, Global Wealth management, located at 13250 University Center Blvd.
A graduate of the University of South Florida, Clinger joined Merrill Lynch in 2000 after nine years in commercial banking.
Clinger and his wife Rusti have four daughters and live in Fort Myers. He volunteers his time coaching youth softball in the Fort Myers American Little League, where he also serves as a board member. He is also involved in numerous community activities, having recently served as President of the Edison Festival of Light.

The Mole Hole opens at new location in Bell Tower Shops
Jim Gottschalk, owner of The Mole Hole, is glad to be settled in his new, smaller location at Bell Tower Shops. The gift boutique recently moved from a 9,000-square-foot space to a 2,700-square-foot shop.
