13 business owners complete FastTrac Growth Venture
The Small Business Coalition Inc. has announced that it has graduated 13 Southwest Florida business owners and entrepreneurs from the nationally recognized business growth program, The FastTrac Growth Venture.
The 10-week national initiative of the renowned Kauffman Foundation was hosted this summer by the coalition. It culminated with a graduation cerebration on Monday, Aug. 10, at The Grill Room of Coconut Point Mall in Estero.
The FastTrac Growth Venture provides participants an opportunity to focus on improving and growing all aspects of their businesses including., the dissemination of financial information and the creation of affordable marketing plans. In addition, the program offers guidance on ways to bootstrap, plan and strategize for improved profits and sales growth, which is essential in today’s tough economy.
The summer program was facilitated by Dr. Beth Hagan, a national master facilitator for FastTrac programs. The program was sponsored by Key Bank and Briers CPA.
Hagan said, “This group was one of the most diverse that I have facilitated. There was a wide array of businesses represented in the program. The participation level shows how far-reaching the recession has been, affecting every type of entrepreneur and business in Southwest Florida.”
The following is a list of graduates from the Summer 2009 Program: John Sweet of Sweet Sheldon Homes; Cindi Ryerson of Millenium House of SW Florida Inc.; Roger Osbond of Jolly Good Food Inc.; Andrew Jessen of Tropical Smoothie Caf; Paul Lodato of WRXY-Christian Television; Carla Bonten of Carla Bonten Realty; Diane Westphal and Jennfier Rosenthal of of Second to None Services; Keith and Bill Daubmann of Mr. Shower Door; Chris Black of Winged Foot Title; Tracy Colleran of Straighten Up Inc.; and Edward Lorenzini of Home Watch FastTrac has graduated over 650 businesses in the local area and 300,000 nationwide.
