Contractor assumes to top position on executive committee

Dave Cumming, of Camp-Rigby Roofing and Sheet Metal Inc., assumed the position of president of the Florida Roofing, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors Association during the association’s 87th Annual Convention held at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando.

A little over 2,000 people attended the FRSA Southeast Roofing and Sheet Metal Spectacular trade show held in conjunction with the convention at the Orange County Convention Center.

At the convention, a total of $11,000 in scholarships was awarded to six students.

FRSA is an 87-year-old trade association consisting of over 750 members. Its main purpose is to foster ethical business practices, protect consumer interests and promote the industries it represents.

Children’s Advocacy Center adds four new board members

The Children’s Advocacy Center recently added four board members: former Fort Myers Police Department Chief Larry Hart; Jeff Graddy, associate with the Leadership Research Institute; Renee McFarland, executive director of the Kleist Health Education Center at Florida Gulf Coast University; and Anne Weller Hansen, president of Junior League of Fort Myers.

The new members will join existing board members: Cliff Chaipel, Mark Loren, Paul Martin, Rosemary Meza, Liz Paul, Ed Ryan, Bruce Schultz, Samantha Scott, Peter Seif, Cynthia Shafer and Dr. Martha Valiant.

Means retires from Oswald Trippe and Company

During her 10 years, she held various positions within the accounting department.
