Construction begins on Funky Fish House
Marvin Development Corporation, a leading residential building contractor in Southwest Florida, recently announced the start of construction on the first home in Cape Harbour’s newest development, “The Funky Fish Houses.”
The first home will be built for owner/developer Will Stout.
A ground-breaking concept in Southwest Florida living, Funky Fish Houses are unique Key West style cottage beach homes to be perched on the water’s edge in Cape Harbour’s Marina. Boundaries of the properties will actually extend 25-feet over the water, allowing for an extended outdoor deck or boat slip.
With only 19 homes available, this subdivision will be an exclusive, one-of-a-kind product. Each individual home will be custom designed to fit the specific lot and the character of the owner with a “funky” look and feel.
“It’s exciting to be involved with such a unique and innovative project. Will Stout’s vision for these amazing homes goes beyond funky design and will also embrace new technologies and ‘green’ building concepts, a pairing which is great for the environment and great for Cape Coral,” said Richard F. Durling, president of Marvin Development Corporation.
The Funky Fish Houses are located at the western tip of the Cape Harbour property alongside the two tower condominiums and the shopping and dining promenade.
Marvin Development Corporation has been building homes in Southwest Florida since 1972 and has been awarded numerous recognitions and honors including owner Richard F. Durling’s designation as Florida Builder of the Year.
Cape Harbour is located at 5703 Cape Harbour Drive in Cape Coral. For more information about the “Funky Fish Houses,” visit: www.capeharbour.com or call 945-6116.
