Grossman elected secretary of Collaborative Professionals of Southwest Florida

Marriage and family law attorney Keith Grossman of Burandt, Adamski & Grossman, LLP, has been elected secretary of the Collaborative Professionals of Southwest Florida’s board of directors. The organization promotes the “collaborative process,” a method where both parties and their attorneys agree in writing to focus all of their efforts towards resolving the divorce or other legal matter by agreement, without resorting to court.

Grossman, a board-certified marital and family lawyer and certified family law mediator, also serves as the president of the Lee County Bar Association.

Social Media Cafe: Second Course

The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association is serving up the Social Media Caf: Second Course, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Friday, June 26, at Hodges University, 4501 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.

This lecture-style seminar will provide attendees a specialized look at incorporating social media with other Web 2.0 technologies. Ibrey Woodall, Director – Marketing Communications, TEKgroup International, Inc., will discuss online newsrooms with social media interaction. Miami Marketwire’s Account Executive, Robyn Medlin, will discuss Search Engine Optimization for Press Releases and will introduce a Social Media Release. Birgit Pauli-Haack, CEO and founder of Pauli Systems, LC, will share her knowledge on putting social media to work with RSS feeds.

Cooksley returns from ‘incentive trip’

Kagen Cooksley, Cape Coral office manager of the Ted Todd Insurance Agency, recently returned from the 2009 Agent’s Incentive Trip awarded annually to the top agency of Universal Insurance Company of North America. The 4-day/5-night Rhine River cruise embarked from Amsterdam, Germany on the MV Casanova and made stops at Xanten, Cologne, Cochem, Trier and Vlklingen before concluding at Saarbrcken. The cruise included dinner with Rick Espino, the president of Universal Insurance, North America Operations.

Following the cruise, Cooksley and Alison Bandsuch continued their vacation in Switzerland, where he surprised her with a marriage proposal. The happy couple is planning a fall 2010 wedding.

Stevens Construction awarded contract for Twelve Oaks Medical

Stevens Construction Inc. has been awarded the renovation contract for the Twelve Oaks Medical Office located at 6748 Gall Blvd., announced Mark Stevens, company president.

Construction is under way at the 7,500-square-foot medical office building and expected to be completed in fall of 2009. The project includes interior demolition, reconstruction and the addition of a new fire sprinkler system. Upon completion, the facility will house a state-of-the-art orthopedic medical practice with ancillary services.

Fitch Ratings has affirmed the outstanding “A” rating on Southwest Florida International Airport’s $348 million airport revenue bonds. The Rating Outlook on all bonds is Stable. The bonds are payable from the net revenues generated by the operations of RSW.

Larsen to sign copies of ‘Stealing Trinity’

Dudash named VP of restoration and waterproofing for Elias Brothers Group

Elias Brothers Group Contracting Division, one of the premier providers of waterproofing and restoration services in Southwest Florida since the 1980s, has named Victor Dudash the vice president of restoration and waterproofing.

The Cape Coral resident brings over two decades of experience in the industry in management and quality control. He specializes in remedial restoration, including estimating of all projects concerning waterproofing, deck coatings, concrete restoration, window and door removal and replacement, railing removal and installation, and painting. His experience is extensive in the manufacturing process for cements along with fabricated steel and construction materials.
