ARC welcomes Carlos Navedo
The Animal Refuge Center has announced the addition of the position of development director to its organizational structure.
Carlos Navedo has accepted this position and will be responsible for enhancing community awareness of the programs the Animal Refuge Center offers. Navedo also will move ARC forward in its 10-year plan to expand and double the ability to shelter and adopt pets in need. ARC currently houses 450 abandoned cats and dogs on a daily basis but has the capacity to house more than 1,000 if fully expanded on its nearly 23- acre facility.
Navedo comes to ARC with valuable experience as development director of Health Start of SW Florida and Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of SW Florida. In addition, he was appointed by Gov. Bush to join the disaster task force for Hurricane Wilma food distribution and to train volunteers in New Orleans for the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Already facing formidable challenges to meet the daily operational needs of ARC residents, Navedo is eager to unite all his media, corporate and private resources together to further enhance how ARC can assist in the urgent need so many pets in southwest Florida are facing.
If you would like to help ARC with its current operational needs or in its long-term expansion plans to assist homeless pets, please contact Navedo at Carlos@animalrefugecenter.com
