1 min read

The Crowne Plaza Hotel at Bell Tower has received its Two Palm Certification from the Florida Green Lodging Program.

The hotel is the first in Fort Myers to receive the designation through the state program and the second in Lee County.

Crowne Plaza has shown a 12-month period of environmentally friendly practices, a reduction in waste, water and electrical usage and has provided documentation of such savings to the program.

It also has successfully instituted a number of recycling measures, including guest participation programs for guests of the hotel who wish to participate.

“We are honored to receive our Two Palm Certification,” general manager Jim Larkin said. “Together, our staff and guests worked hard to make this possible, and we are happy to help the community and the environment in this way.”

The Crowne Plaza hotel, at 13051 Bell Tower Drive, Fort Myers, features freshly updated accommodations and a full restaurant and bar, as well as multiple meeting rooms.
