County issues fewer permits in November

During November, Lee County Community Development issued permits for 14 single-family homes valued at $6.7 million to be built in unincorporated Lee County.

In comparison, there were 30 single-family homes permitted in October and 54 in November 2007.

There were six multi-family units permitted in unincorporated Lee County during November, compared to 52 the previous month and 10 in November 2007.

Permits were issued for 10 new commercial buildings valued at $1.2 million in unincorporated Lee County, compared to $3.8 million the previous month. In November 2007, newly permitted commercial buildings were valued at $9.5 million.

Lee County Community Development oversees planning, zoning, development, and building services, environmental review, building inspection and code enforcement for the unincorporated areas of the county.
