Joy, Glass expand Mr. Rooter business

Local businessman Rick Joy recently expanded the service area of his Mr. Rooter franchise to include Lee and Charlotte counties. Teaming with Keith Glass, a former franchise systems manager at the Mr. Rooter Corporation, Joy plans on improving the quality of service.

With 32 years of plumbing experience, Joy is no stranger to Mr. Rooter. For the last 17 years, he’s owned and operated the Mr. Rooter franchise in Naples, earning awards and recognitions from the corporate office.

Joy was actually the original owner back in 1989. He sold it 10 years ago to focus on his Naples business, and he is happy to have it back.

Joy recruited Glass from the corporate office in Waco, Texas, to help him expand and operate the new area. Glass brings with him 18 years of experience in the plumbing industry, from operating plumbing companies to being the manager of technical services for the Mr. Rooter Corporation.

Instead of training new Mr. Rooter franchise owners at the corporate office, Glass is now instructing plumbing technicians for the Southwest Florida area.

The Mr. Rooter of Southwest Florida franchise provides residential and commercial plumbing and drain cleaning services 24 hours a day, seven days a week and there is never an overtime charge.
