The city of Cape Coral is inviting residents to help shape the future of one of the community’s most recognizable landmarks, the Old Golf Course property, a 175-acre parcel at 4003 Palm Tree Blvd.

A second public meeting will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, at 5:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd.

“This meeting is an additional opportunity for residents who were unable to attend the first session. It will cover the same information and activities, so those who have already participated do not need to attend again,” city officials said in a release.

The purpose of the meeting is to learn about the site’s history and current conditions through a brief presentation and gather ideas and input for transforming the Old Golf Course site into a vibrant, inclusive park that will serve current and future generations.

“All residents are encouraged to attend, share their ideas, and connect with neighbors as Cape Coral plans its next great park. Help shape the future of this beloved community space,” the release states.

The city of is asking the public for ideas and feedback to help shape the future of the Old Golf Course site.

“We want this space to reflect what our community values most, whether that’s creating new recreation areas, preserving natural spaces, or finding creative ways to bring people together. Your input will guide the design of the Old Golf Course Transformation, helping to transform this property into a place that serves everyone in Cape Coral,” the city’s website states.

For those unable to attend the public meeting, the Master Plan survey is available online on the city’s website at capecoral.gov.
