New traffic signal coming to Del Prado and Averill
Construction of a new traffic signal at Del Prado Boulevard and Averill Boulevard is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Jan. 29, with the placement of traffic control devices.
“To ensure the safety of motorists and construction crews, the speed limit on Del Prado Boulevard approaching Averill Boulevard will be reduced from 50 mph to 35 mph. Left turns from Averill Boulevard, northbound onto Del Prado Boulevard, will be restricted,” city officials said.
The traffic signal is anticipated to be complete in April 2025.
Motorists are encouraged to access Del Prado Boulevard from the Gator Circle area by using the signal at Del Prado Boulevard and De Navarra Parkway.
