The eastbound lane of Southeast 47th Terrace from the last entrance to Big John’s Plaza to Souheast 15th Avenue is temporarily closed due to an emergency pipe replacement. The closure is necessary to address the issue promptly and ensure the safety of residents and commuters, city officials said.

Road Closure Details:

* Southeast 47th Terrace is closed to eastbound traffic from the last entrance of Big John’s Plaza to Southeast 15th Avenue.

* The easternmost entrance to Big John’s Plaza is configured for inbound traffic only.

* All other entrances and exits to the Plaza remain open.

The closure is expected to last approximately one week, barring unforeseen circumstances, officials said.

Motorists are asked to follow all marked detours and use caution when traveling through the area.

The city has set up signage and a clearly marked work zone to direct traffic safely around the area. Additional signage has been placed at the roundabout and along Southeast 47th Terrace, notifying drivers of the ongoing work as they approach from the east.
