Nicholas Parkway scheduled water main shutdown on Aug. 8

A scheduled potable water main shutdown at 324 Nicholas Parkway is set for Monday, Aug. 8, at 9 a.m.
City crews will be replacing valves and adding a new fire hydrant. The shutdown will affect around 90 customers, including several businesses on Pine Island Road. Work should be completed by the end of the day Monday. The large red-shaded area shows residents affected by the shutdown. Affected residents will be notified via phone, text, and email.
Following the restoration of access to drinking water, the city of Cape Coral advises users to boil water for one minute or use bottled water as a precaution until the advisory has been lifted. This notification applies to water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, washing dishes, and brushing teeth.
