Water main shutdown today on Academy Boulevard

Approximately 145 customers to be affected

A scheduled potable water main shutdown will occur at 1205 Academy Boulevard today beginning at 9 a.m.

City crews will be replacing valves and adding a new fire hydrant. The shutdown will affect around 145 customers, and work should be completed by the end of the day.

Affected residents will be notified via phone, text, and email.

Following the restoration of access to drinking water, the city of Cape Coral advises users to boil water for one minute or use bottled water as a precaution until the advisory has been lifted. This notification applies to water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, washing dishes, and brushing teeth.
