Cape Coral police continue to seek information on a woman who was reported missing earlier in the month.

In a Facebook post on Monday, CCPD officials stated that on July 14, Erica Ann Johnson, 36, was reported missing by her family and was last seen in the area of Coronado Parkway and Cape Coral Parkway East.

CCPD said Johnson’s status has been upgraded to a missing and endangered adult.

CCPD Public Affairs Officer Brandon Sancho told The Breeze in an email that, “(Johnson) was missing but it was upgraded to missing endangered after an additional investigation. No signs of foul play she lives a different lifestyle where she has no phone, no vehicle, and no bank account. Investigators believe she left by bus and are currently working with LeeTran.”

Johnson is a white female, approximately 5-foot-8, weighing approximately 130 pounds. She has light brown hair and green eyes.

A close friend of the missing woman told The Breeze that Johnson is originally from the St. Louis area and was living in Cape Coral. She said she had worked at Best Western Plus Beach Resort in Fort Myers as a housekeeper. She added that Johnson was living in an office building and had died her hair dark around the 4th of July.

CCPD asks that anyone with information pertaining to Johnson and her possible whereabouts contact them at 239-574-3223 in reference to case number #022-016247.
