CCPD conducts weekend DUI traffic enforcement

The Cape Coral Police Department conducted a grant-funded multi-jurisdictional DUI enforcement operation on Saturday, specifically targeting impaired driving.

There were 99 traffic stops resulting in four DUI arrests, three other arrests, and 76 citations issued.

Funding was provided by the Florida Department of Transportation. This operation was conducted citywide and resulted in seventy six citations (twenty two of those for violating a traffic control or signal device) as well as three traffic arrests. Four drivers were stopped for driving without a seatbelt.

This operation was conducted citywide and resulted in 55 moving citations, including 24 for speeding and 22 for violating a traffic control or signal device. Two arrests were made.
