By Staff | Jul 31, 2020

A Cape Coral man faces two child pornography charges.

Special agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Fort Myers Regional Operations Center Cyber Squad arrested William Nimmons, 52, of 1113 SE 21st St, Cape Coral, on one count of promotion of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

FDLE agents served a search warrant at Nimmons’ residence Thursday and found a laptop computer that contained the child pornography, officials said.

Nimmons was booked into the Lee County Jail. Additional charges are dependent upon completion of forensic exams, according to the FDLE. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 20th Judicial Circuit.
