City utility repairs to force closure of multiple lanes of Santa Barbara Boulevard Wednesday
Multiple lane closures on Santa Barbara Boulevard will be necessary beginning today, Jan. 22, to make repairs to an irrigation main that is located just south of the Veterans Parkway intersection.
According to the city of Cape Coral, one northbound lane of Santa Barbara Boulevard and both left-turn lanes from Santa Barbara Boulevard onto Veterans Parkway (westbound) will be closed to complete excavation work, repair to the reuse main and roadway resurfacing.
The extent of the utility repairs needed will determine the duration of the lane closures.
Drivers are asked to use extra caution in this area and be alert for roadside workers. Motorists traveling through this intersection should allow extra travel time.
