CCPD: Burglar stole guitar from church
Cape Coral detectives are looking for a burglar who broke into a church and stole a guitar, according to officials.
On April 26, police responded to a past-occurred burglary at 151 N.E. Pine Island Road. The victim stated that when they arrived at the church, they noticed that the front door was unlocked. The victim stated the door was locked the night before.
When the victim walked around the church, they noticed a broken window.
When officers arrived on scene, they found three broken windows. One appeared to be completely broken and looked to be the window through which the suspect made entry.
Officers cleared the church, but discovered no one inside.
When the pastor of the church did a walkthrough, he noticed that a guitar had been taken. The guitar was an orange, Epiphone Les Paul electric guitar.
The church estimated that the value of the guitar is about $300.
Nothing else in the church appeared to be tampered with.
The church stated the three windows had an estimated value of about $400.
Detectives do not have any suspect description at this time and are asking for the public’s help.
