The Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association will meet Thursday, Jan. 21. Lee County Commissioner Brian Hamman will be the guest speaker.

Key issues likely to be discussed include the Northwest spreader ecosystem and restoration of tidal flows, the Northwest spreader barrier/boat-lift status, additional Northwest spreader dredging toward Matlacha, Burnt Store Road widening and future extension north to the county line, potential Kismet extension and a possible future exit off of I-75 that leads straight to Cape Coral.

Following Hamman’s presentation and questions, the NWNA Development Review Subcommittee will report on its findings regarding modular home construction.

The meeting is open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. at the Christa McAuliffe Elementary Charter School, at 2817 S.W. 3rd Lane, Cape Coral. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for sign-in, networking, and membership renewals.

To be eligible for membership, members must reside or own property within Cape Coral city limits and be located north of Pine Island Road and west of El Dorado Boulevard. For information, visit www.nwcape.com.
