CCPD investigating suspicious-person-at-bus-stop incident
Cape Coral Police Department is looking into a complaint of a suspicious person at a bus stop this morning in the 5200 block of Pelican Boulevard. According to the complainant, the subject is described as a W/M in his 40’s driving an older-style, tan/gold (1990’s) Mercedes Benz. According to the complainant, the man was driving slowly in the area of a bus stop in the 5200 block of Pelican Boulevard this morning. The driver stopped and motioned to a student to come over to the vehicle. When the student refused, the man drove away. After getting on the bus, the student snapped a photo of a car matching the description at a 7-11 in south Cape Coral. Cape Coral Police Department wants to remind parents to talk to their kids about “stranger danger.” The department also wants to remind people who live near bus stops or who meet their kids at bus stops, to be aware of their surroundings and to keep an eye out for any suspicious persons or vehicles.
