Partial road closures set for Sunday’s Fort Myers Marathon
The 3rd annual Fort Myers Marathon will take place Sunday, Nov. 8, starting at 7 a.m.
The race will begin at Pincher’s Marina on West First Street and proceed east to downtown via Edwards Drive.
The Fort Myers Police Department will have additional personnel working to assist residents and traffic along the race route. Residents should avoid the following routes if possible on Sunday: McGregor Boulevard from Virginia Avenue to Passaic Avenue, from 7-8:45 a.m.; West First Street, from 7-9 a.m.; Edwards Drive, from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Main Street/Heitman Street intersection, from 7-10 a.m.; and First Street – Palm Beach Boulevard corridor from Fowler Street to Seaboard Street, from 8:30 a.m. 12 p.m.
