Aviation Day 2015 Saturday at Page Field in Fort Myers
Aviation Day 2015 will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at Page Field, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with free admission and parking.
Aviation Day, hosted annually by the Lee County Port Authority to increase community awareness of the county airports, is geared toward aviation enthusiasts of all ages and draws thousands of people from the local community.
This year, there will be five featured vintage aircraft at the event. Two of the aircraft, the DC-3 Flagship Detroit and SBD-5 Dauntless, previously distributed news releases about their visit to Fort Myers and availability for rides.
Aviation Day is held on the ramp on the north side of Page Field off North Airport Road, east of U.S. 41 and south of Colonial Blvd. Parking is available off North Airport Road and U.S. 41 with complimentary shuttle bus transportation to the event entrance.
