It’s Carioscia, Stout and Cosden

With 30 of 30 precincts reporting, the Lee County Elections Office reports that incumbent John Carioscia beat challenger Kirk LaGrasta in District 2; Marilyn Stout beat Chris Cammarota in District 3 and Jessica Cosden beat Timothy Barrier in District 7.

With all precincts reporting, Carioscia took 50.59 percent of the vote (8,533) to LaGrasta’s 43.94 percent (7,412); Stout took 52.58 percent of the vote ( 8,869) to Cammarota’s 42.36 percent (7,145) and Cosden has 50.25 percent of the vote ( 8,477) to Barrier’s 43.7 percent (7,372).

The “undervote,” where voters did not cast a ballot in a particular race, was 5 – 6 percent in each race.

Election results are unofficial until certified by the election’s office.
