FMBD: Roadway reopen
Earlier today, the Fort Myers Police Department reported that a westbound lane of Colonial Boulevard at the base of the Midpoint Bridge was closed due to a hydraulic oil spill. As of 12:50 p.m., the roadway is open.
At 10:25 a.m, the FMPD said the hydraulic oil spill from a commercial vehicle closed the single westbound lane of Colonial Boulevard from the base of the Midpoint Bridge that allows traffic to travel to McGregor Boulevard.
Westbound traffic of Colonial Boulevard onto the Midpoint Bridge was not affected.
The closure was expected to last a few hours.
