LMHS to present ‘Cancer: How to avoid this growing epidemic’
Lee Memorial Health System will present the next in a series of free monthly lectures designed to cover a variety of health care topics to help improve your physical and mental well-being. These interactive and informative lectures are presented by Dr. Sal Lacagnina, vice president of health and wellness and medical director of the wellness centers in Cape Coral and Fort Myers.
Cancer the dreaded “C” word. Even the thought of cancer is so frightening, but similar to most of the chronic illnesses that rob many people of quality and years of life, cancer risk and the occurrence of cancer can be managed when we are willing to take control of our health.
Learn about the risk factors and what you can do starting immediately to decrease the risk and set yourself on a path toward better health and longevity.
This month’s lecture will be held on Monday, June 29, at 12 p.m.. at Cape Coral Hospital, Room A, 636 DelPrado Blvd., Cape Coral.
Dr. Lacagnina is board certified in internal medicine and has been in practice since 1993. He is passionate about preventive health care and shares his knowledge of simple and effective ways to age gracefully and healthfully.
