Veterans Foundation headquarters to be named after Weinberg
On Friday, March 4, at 10 a.m., at Memorial Gardens in Fort Myers, there will be a marker unveiling for Stanley W. Weinberg, a U.S. Navy veteran who passed away a year ago. As per Jewish custom, the marker is unveiled a year later.
Weinberg served honorably, with an “interesting” volume of shared stories from his days with the Navy, and was a submariner.
At the service, Felice Weinberg, the widow, will be presented with a plaque and other materials announcing that the new Veterans’ Foundation (Invest in America’s Veterans Foundation) headquarters in the old Sweetbay building off Cape Coral Parkway will be named the Stanley W. Weinberg, USN – Veterans Foundation Headquarters.
In addition, after this memorial, there will be a reception in Weinberg’s honor at the Veterans Foundation headquarters on Del Prado Boulevard, behind Hooters.
