Edison Junior Parade road closures set
Due to the Edison Junior Parade, the following roads in downtown Fort Myers will be closed Sunday, Feb. 14, beginning at 12:30 p.m.:
Edwards Drive, Bay Street, First Street, Main Street, Second Street, Monroe Street, Broadway Avenue, Hendry Street and Jackson Street.
In addition, the ramp off of the Caloosahatchee Bridge into downtown Fort Myers will also be closed at that time.
Those that wish to attend the parade are encouraged to arrive in the downtown area prior to 12:30 p.m. The parking garages will be open before the parade starts however they will close during the parade. Anyone parked in the garages will be unable to exit until the parade has completed.
Anyone that is not attending the parade should avoid the downtown area, if possible, and seek alternate routes.
