Prayer vigil for Haitian earthquake victims
The Southwest Florida Haiti Relief Task Force, in concert with United Family and Friends, the Immokalee Haitian Church of the Nazarene, the Fort Myers Haitian Pastor’s Association, the Naples Haitian Pastor’s Association and The Haitian Coalition of Collier County, have joined forces to unite in responding to the recent catastrophe in Haiti.
SWFL Haiti Relief Task Force is calling the Haitian people, community leaders, and others in Lee and Collier counties who share a common concern for Haiti’s tragedy to come together today, Jan. 16, for a community time of reflection and prayer in light of the recent happenings.
Prayer gatherings will be held at in Fort Myers at First Church of the Nazarene, 13545 American Colony Blvd., Jan. 16 at 7 p.m.; Immokalee at Immokalee First Baptist Church, 1411 Lake Trafford Road, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m.; and in Naples at Moorings Presbyterian Church, 791 Harbour Dr., Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.
Contributions received at these events will benefit the following organizations: Hope for Haiti, Engineers without Borders, and World Harvest Mission, Living water Ministries
