Police: Possible standoff at southwest Cape home
Police are responding to a possible hostage or standoff situation at a residence in southwest Cape Coral.
The reported incident is taking place at Southwest 14th Terrace and Chiquita Boulevard South, with Southwest 14th Street, Southwest 14th Terrace and Southwest 13th Street blocked off by the Cape Coral Police Department.
Police spokeswoman Connie Barron had no further information Friday afternoon, but said that she would be on scene shortly.
Police have a mobile command unit on scene, and a SWAT team is mobilizing at Chiquita and Trafalagar Parkway.
