37th Annual Fort Myers Boat Show this weekend

The Southwest Florida Marine Industries Association will present the 37th Annual Fort Myers Boat Show. This year’s show opens Thursday, Nov. 12, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Harborside Convention Center and Fort Myers City Yacht Basin.

Hundreds of boats on display in water and on land. There will also be a convention center of electronics and gadgets, motors, fishing equipment, marine insurance and financing companies, education information, service companies, marinas, jewelry, gifts for those who live the boating lifestyle and more.

The cost for the Boat Show is $7 per person and children under 12 are free. The hours of the Boat Show 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The “Boating Lifestyle Area” at the show includes stand-up paddleboard demos on Saturday and Sunday, fishing and kayak seminars, scuba dive displays, the U.S. Coast Guard simulator for children to experience what it’s like to be in a boat in rough seas and more. The area will also include the SWFMIA trailer with giveaways and information.

Parking will be at the City of Palms Park (Red Sox Stadium), 2201 Edison Avenue. Parking is only $4 all day and includes continuous air conditioned bus transportation to and from the show.
