Permanent road closures set as part of Del Prado project
As part of the Del Prado Boulevard improvement project from Kismet Parkway to S.R. 78/Pine Island Road, motorists should be on alert for a permanent road closures. Starting Monday, Nov. 2, crews will permanently close down N.E. 13th Terrace, N.E. 9th Street and N.E. 9th Terrace west of Del Prado Boulevard.
Motorists wanting to access N.E. 13th Terrace may do so by traveling west onto N.E. 14th Street and south onto N.E.14th Avenue, while motorist wanting to access N.E. 9th Street and N.E. 9th Terrace may do so by traveling west onto N.E. 10th Lane and south on N.E. 14th Avenue.
Advance warning signs, electronic message boards and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. Construction on this section of roadway is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
While traveling through the work zone, motorists are urged to use caution, obey the posted speed limit of 35 mph, and seek alternate routes whenever possible. Unforeseen circumstances and weather may affect the schedule.
