New traffic signal at Santa Barbara, Southwest 29th Terrace

2 min read

Starting Monday, Sept. 14, a new traffic signal will be activated at the intersection of Santa Barbara Boulevard and Southwest 29th Terrace. This new signal will direct both the eastbound and westbound motorists traveling on the recently constructed Southwest 29th Terrace onto Santa Barbara Boulevard.

In addition, motorists should be on alert for a temporary road closure at Southwest 31st Terrace to the west of Santa Barbara Boulevard. This temporary closure is necessary as crews construct the west side of Santa Boulevard from Southwest 31st Terrace to Gleason Parkway. Motorists traveling northbound or southbound on Santa Barbara Boulevard who wish access westbound Southwest 31st Terrace may access the newly constructed Southwest 29th Terrace, and head south on Santa Barbara Place and then west onto Southwest 31st Terrace beyond the construction limits.

Advance warning signs, electronic message boards and barricades will be used to advise and direct those traveling through the area. The posted speed limit is 35 mph while traveling through the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution and to seek alternative routes whenever possible. Weather and unforeseen circumstances could affect the construction schedule and may cause delays.
