Fort Myers Police seize guns, make three arrests

Saturday night, Aug. 29, the Fort Myers Police Department conducted two search warrants at 3862 Madison, apartments #1 and #4.

Police arrested the following people:

Byron Harris, 23, for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of marijuana. He also had an active failure to appear warrant for carrying a concealed weapon.

Michael Donaldson, 19, for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He also had an active violation of probation warrant for carrying a concealed weapon.

Marquis Reid, 18, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

When the SWAT team arrived, all three reportedly ran out the back door and after a short foot pursuit police detained them. Police additionally charged them with resisting arrest without violence.

Police seized a small amount of cocaine and marijuana from the apartments along with the following one Glock .40 caliber handgun; one High Point 9mm handgun; one 7.62 Assault Rifle; one High Point sawed off 9mm; and one 20 gauge shotgun.
