One of Lee County’s most wanted in custody

A Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers tip has led investigators to one of Lee County’s most wanted fugitives. On Tuesday, Aug. 18, Lee Ervin Fleming, 33, was arrested in Fort Myers and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Fleming was wanted by the Fort Myers Police Department for violation of probation (fleeing and eluding) and resisting an officer, according to Sheriff’s Office reports. Upon booking, investigators also learned that Fleming has an active warrant out of Desoto County for violation of probation (grand theft).

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of wanted fugitives is asked to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for up to $1,000 in cash rewards. Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org.
