FMPD investigating robbery
This morning at 9:55 the Fort Myers Police Department responded to The Fifth/ Third Bank, located at 2068 Cleveland Avenue in reference to a robbery. The victim was walking up to the bank door when she noticed a man coming up behind her quickly. She hurried into the bank and walked up to the teller. The man followed her inside and forcibly removed a deposit bag from her hands. The suspect got into the passenger side of a Tan Chevy Malibu and fled the scene. Attached are pictures from the surveillance video. The suspect is wearing a baseball cap. Anyone with information is asked to call FMPD at 321-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
