Man arrested; drugs and handgun found in Fort Myers apartment
On Wednesday, July 15, officers with the Fort Myers Police Department’s Public Housing Unit contacted the department’s Special Investigations Group in reference to a large quantity of narcotics they observed in plain view while inside 3701 Sabal Palm Boulevard, apartment A16. A search warrant was obtained and conducted at the residence.
According to a release from FMPD, officers seized the following items:
n One EX4061 9mm handgun
n Three hundred grams of marijuana individually packaged for resale.
n Fourteen grams of cocaine, individually packaged for resale.
n Numerous other items of drug paraphernalia used for drug manufacturing and distribution.
In addition, police arrested Michael Ross, 22, at that address for possession of a firearm by convicted felon, possession of cocaine with intent to sell within a 1,000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana within a 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.
