Sheriff’s Office driver’s license checkpoint results
On July 9, 2009, members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit and Bonita Springs Community Policing Unit conducted a Driver’s License and Registration checkpoint. The location of the checkpoint was Bonita Beach Road and Bonita Grande Drive. The operation started at 4:00 p.m. and ended at 6:00 p.m.
The results from the checkpoint are as follows:
Driving Without a Valid Driver’s License: 05
Traffic Citations Issued: 17
Warnings Issued: 09
Vehicles Passing Through Checkpoint: 272
Another checkpoint is scheduled sometime between today and Wednesday at an undisclosed location somewhere in Lee County.
