Northeast 16th Terrace permanently closed at Del Prado Boulevard
As part of the Del Prado Boulevard improvement project from Kismet Parkway to S.R. 78/Pine Island Road, motorists should be on alert for a permanent road closure. Starting Thursday, June 25, crews will permanently close down Northeast 16th Terrace west of Del Prado Boulevard to construct the retention pond in the area. Local traffic may access Northeast 16th Terrace via Northeast 17th Street, south on Northeast 14th Avenue onto Northeast 16th Terrace.
Advance warning signs, electronic message boards and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. Construction on this section of roadway is scheduled for approximately the next several months Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
While traveling through the work zone, motorists are urged to use caution, obey the posted speed limit of 35 mph, and seek alternate routes whenever possible. Please be advised that unforeseen circumstances and weather may affect the schedule.
