iROX traffic lane switches planned
Striping operations as part of the iROX I-75 road expansion project will force a traffic switch (weather permitting) from 8 p.m. to 5 p.m. now through Friday, May 29.
The striping operations will require one lane to be closed both northbound and southbound between the Corkscrew Road interchange (#123) and the Daniels Parkway interchange (#131). Work will start on northbound I-75 just north of the Corkscrew Road interchange at mile marker #124 and proceed north.
This work also requires temporary ramp closures as striping crews move past interchanges.
The iROX project will expand the interstate to six lanes from the Golden Gate Parkway interchange #105 in Collier County to the Colonial Boulevard interchange #136 in Lee County.
Motorists should expect both northbound and southbound on and off ramps to be closed at the Alico Road interchange (#128) and at the Daniels Parkway interchange (#131).
