Homeowner Preservation Forum Saturday

U.S. Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) today announced a foreclosure prevention workshop will be held Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Edison State College in Fort Myers. This event is free, open to the public, and designed to connect lenders and housing counseling agencies with constituents facing foreclosure in order help them explore their options and assist them in keeping their home.

The office of Sen. Martinez, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Wachovia, Wells Fargo, Chase, Washington Mutual, Bank United, the Home Ownership Resource Center, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, the Cape Coral Housing Development Corporation, the Housing Authority of the city of Fort Myers and the Florida Department of Financial Services will be hosting this housing forum to provide assistance to those struggling to make their mortgage payments. Lenders and housing counseling agencies and will be available for one-on-one assistance and are asking constituents seeking assistance to bring mortgage and financial documents to the forum.

This forum is open to the public.

The workshop will be held in the auditorium in the Richard H. Rush Library, 8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers.
