Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Dinner April 3
The six Golden Apple recipients will be guests of honor at the 22nd Annual Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Dinner Friday, April 3, at the Harborside Event Center in Fort Myers. This elegant, black-tie affair will feature the Lee County Golden Apple Teachers, the 25 finalists, and the 69 teachers of distinction during a 60-minute, live telecast on Comcast Channel 99 at 8 p.m.
The program will be rebroadcast Saturday, April 11, at noon and 7 p.m. on WINK-TV.
Dr. Eric J. Smith, Commissioner of Education, Florida Department of Education, will be in attendance to deliver his address on the importance of high quality educators in Lee County. Dr. Frances Haithcock, Chancellor of Education will accompany the Commissioner.
The general public is invited to attend and show their support of our public school teachers. Reservations are required. The price is $150 per person.
