1 min read

Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies continued the crackdown this past weekend, making contact with 236 vehicles in the Cook Brown Road and Williams Road areas in the southern part of the county by the Lee County line. This time there were five arrests, 26 citations, and 23 warnings issued from Friday to Sunday night.

A 19-year-old North Fort Myers man was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, two people were charged with Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, and one for Operating an Unregistered Vehicle with Attached Tag Not Assigned. Deputies also issued two court notices to appear on one juvenile and one adult, both for Possession of Alcohol Under 20 Years of Age.

This area has been plagued with ongoing problems and complaints about those riding pickups, cars, ATV’s, motorcycles, racing, drinking alcohol, drug use, bonfires, fighting, assaults, and vandalism in this secluded area around the large overhead power transmission lines. Deputies will continue to monitor the area looking for those who violate various laws.
